WHAT: 1stDibs, the leading online marketplace for extraordinary design, celebrates 25 years at the forefront of luxury e-commerce with a special commemorative film. This campaign follows 1stDibs’ Editorial Director and Director of Fine Art, Anthony Barzilay Freund, as he embarks on a journey of discovery, meeting a selection of sellers, designers, and tastemakers from the 1stDibs network who make the platform a treasure trove of exquisite design.

In the year 2000, a trip to the Paris Flea Market inspired the idea for an online marketplace that captured that same magic of discovery. At the heart of this campaign is a celebration of the brand’s Paris Flea Market roots, which sparked a 25-year-long quest to connect the world’s most discerning buyers with the most beautiful things on earth. Now for 1stDibs’ Silver Anniversary, Barzilay returns to the site of inspiration, alongside two of the brand’s other top markets, connecting with experts to illuminate the stories behind their one-of-a-kind objects. From an ancient Illyrian helmet to a 20th-century diamond-set fringe tiara and a baby grand piano in quilted maple, this campaign highlights the unique marvels that transport viewers into another moment, celebrating the timelessness of enduring design. Pieces from each of the sellers and galleries highlighted in the video campaign will also be available to shop on the 1stDibs website as part of an exclusive 25th-Anniversary collection that celebrates the brand’s encyclopaedic scope of design.
